Liveedu.tv — streaming service for programmers and designers

LiveEdu.tv is a streaming service intended primarily for programmers, which will soon be available for other professionals, including designers and engineers.

LiveEdu.tv is an interactive platform where you can watch the work of professionals, lessons and conferences in the field of programming and design in real-time.

The inspiration behind the idea was Michael Garbad at the end of 2014, and the idea came to me during streams games on twitch and parallel software development in a Linux VirtualBox.

The service came to light in February 2015 with the financial support European Pioneers.

The first streamers were made by the programmers from our team, as well as some of the game developers who already stream on other platforms, have agreed to become pioneers. Whilke, moatdd and many other streamers brought of spectators, who watched their streams on other platforms. We received great support from such communities as Mashable, Venturebeat Spiegel.

The main problem was the simultaneous attraction of streamers and viewers. To resolve it we have created a alert for those who subscribed to a particular channel or category of programming. Here we slightly miscalculated, as soon as the number of streamers increased, those who were subscribed to certain categories started to get huge number of notifications. The problem was partially solved by increasing the number of categories that cover all kinds of languages, libraries, etc. that gave the opportunity to choose a narrower scope.

Initially, the service is intended solely for learning as a place where students can learn from experienced programmers, but over time, LiveEdu.tv was like a social network for programmers, where people not only learn from each other, and communicate, discuss projects, organize competitions and meetings. Service often introduces and binds people together speaking the same language, having similar scope of work and place of residence.

Everyone can become a streamer from the expert to the student. In order not to miss the stream on a variety of topics in a profile, you can configure notifications. Alert rules are specified in a very flexible way: first you choose a category (for example, Android or C++), and then optionally narrow the range by selecting the complexity and the language of translation. Also, you can find the stream in the schedule. In the "video" you can find the recorded stream, to filter by difficulty, language, and category of the programming.

There is a possibility to hire a project of the streamer. This is completely optional ability does not mean the ordinary employment service plays the role of something in between a freelancer exchange and a reality show. The customer offer to see how the developer will perform this job. Streamer can specify in the settings of the channel cost. In his profile there is a button, clicking on which anyone interested can filter the type of stream (private or public) and describe the work to be performed. After making the required amount for a specified number of hours, the money will be deposited with the service. Streamer will contact the customer for further details. He then performs the requested, the prophetic process in the network and the customer will be able to observe the process. At the end of work LiveEdu.tv will give money to the streamer.
Since the founding of the Livecoding.tv in 2015, the service called for bole 1 000 000 users. Site name LiveCoding means that the topic streams will be about programming, but after some time more and more people are interested in whether it is possible to transmit adjacent to IT content. It was therefore decided to widen the categories Livecoding.tv from a purely programming also for design, engineering, and other areas closely related to IT. In connection with the addition of new categories soon Livecoding.tv will be renamed LiveEdu.tv.

In the near future along with a new name the website will gain a new design, which will take into account customer feedback.
